1. Celebrating Easter at Arcen Castle Gardens
A visit to Kasteeltuinen Arcen is one of the most enjoyable Easter activities in northern Limburg. The gardens are full of colourful spring flowers: a picture to behold. But that's not the only thing you can experience here during Easter. Especially if you are looking for Easter activities for children, the Castle Gardens are a golden tip. They can join an Easter treasure hunt, play on the play beach and play a game of Adventure Mini Golf.

2. 'n Day of play at Het Aardbeienland in Horst
They are called summer crowns, strawberries. Yet they are hearty even at Easter. Did you know you can visit a real Strawberry Country in Horst? Spread over 5,000 square metres, immerse yourself in the world of strawberries. Take part in a puzzle tour and learn all about the sweet red fruit. Or visit the gnome village, where you will learn a new fact about the strawberry in every nook and cranny. A fun, educational and original outing to experience with the children during Easter. Also highly recommended for parents, especially because of the restaurant where strawberries feature on the menu. We recommend - Limburg style - a piece of homemade strawberry pie with whipped cream.

3. Participate in the Egg Run in Venlo
An egg is part and parcel of Easter, to eat, paint or look for. A slightly more grown-up 'egg activity' during Easter is the Venlo Egg Run. On Easter Saturday, 4 April, you and your friends can take part in Venlo's ultimate pub crawl. How does it work? You show your starting ticket at the first pub. With it, you collect your drink passport and a raw egg. Your only goal is to keep the raw egg in one piece throughout the whole pub crawl. Can you do this in seven of the twenty participating pubs? Then you can collect your souvenir in the last pub. An egg, we hear you think. But whether that is still true after the umpteenth beer...

4. Enjoy an Easter picnic in Beesel
Is the sun shining nicely at Easter? Then move the Easter brunch outside. Here in northern Limburg, we have plenty of golden spots where you can spread your picnic blanket. Flop down in Beesel, for example. Especially on the banks of the river Meuse it is a lovely place to be. Fill your picnic basket with sandwiches, Easter eggs and a fresh flan and enjoy Easter in the open air in Beesel. Nothing more to do, we say.

5. Visit the Easter market in Panningen
'Tis one of the largest Easter markets in our country, the Easter Market in Panningen. With no less than 400 stalls, you'll have plenty of trinkets to browse among. Second-hand clothes, vintage home accessories, Easter delicacies: you can fill your bags to the brim at the Panningen Easter market. Every year, this market attracts as many as 25,000 visitors during Easter. That is three times the number of people living in the North Limburg village.

6. Get away for an Easter weekend together at BreeBronne Holiday Park

7. Walk the Boschhuizen hiking trail near Venray
What to do at Easter when the weather is nice? Then go outside, of course! A great route to walk is the Boschhuizen hiking trail near Venray. Ideal if you celebrate Easter with children, as this walk is 4 kilometres long. Along the way, you will pass wooded land with pine trees, oaks and juniper bushes. Golden tip: first join the Easter brunch at Hotel Asteria, near the starting point of the route. Or walk the route first and then enjoy a family Easter buffet at the hotel.

8. Walk the Lamb Trail in Bergen
Easter falls in spring, and with spring comes lambs. What better way to celebrate Easter than with these woolly quadrupeds? The Lammetjesroute in Bergen is a fun, active route all about lambs and sheep. You walk the route around the Bergerheide sheepfold. Along the way, you answer all sorts of questions about the animals. A turned in participant card will give you a nice surprise. Great if you like active activities during Easter.
