Winter visit to Museum Village de Locht

At open-air museum De Locht, you step back to the past for a moment. Not far away, but just here in northern Limburg.

Plan your visit

After all, what was life like in the old days? Grandpas and grandmas can talk about it for hours, but at Museum Village De Locht you can really experience it. Volunteers in old costumes show you what life was like in the countryside. In the kitchen, on the farmyard and in the workshops. You can smell the wood and straw, hear the stories and see how everything came together.

In 'a small shed, once a butter factory, began what would later grow into FrieslandCampina. And those who look further will also pass the medieval kitchen garden. Really get into the skin of 'someone from the past'? The little ones shoot in old costumes and play school in an old classroom. Making new memories, but in the past: you can do it in this museum village.
