At KlimKong Sevenum, you climb on a giant pirate boat past tough obstacles, nets and ziplines. This is one of those places where excitement, outdoor air and views over the water come together in one active outing that will make you want to do something right away.
Who is this a real getaway for?
KlimKong Sevenum is truly a top address for families with adventurous children aged 8 and up, groups of friends, active families and anyone who would rather do something than sit still. The place is also great for older kids or teenagers, precisely because it feels a bit more exciting than an ordinary playground. Coming with someone who doesn't climb? That works fine too, as spectators can just watch from the terrace.
When will you visit?
This is one of those outings that is extra nice on a dry spring day, a sunny afternoon in summer or in early autumn when it is still nice outside. By the way, a splash of rain need not immediately throw a spanner in the works here, because when it rains a little, climbing can be done as usual. Only in extreme weather conditions are we cancelled. In the summer holidays, there are sometimes even special evening activities, which makes it extra fun if you are looking for something different from a standard afternoon out.
What to expect.
Expect a tough outdoor outing with multiple climbing routes, obstacles at different heights and ziplines that take you back down. Everything here is about being active, pushing boundaries and, above all, having fun in the great outdoors. Nice detail: the climbing boat has routes from 1.5 metres up to more challenging sections higher up, building up the adventure step by step.
Feel free to set aside 1.5 to 2 hours for your visit, as the climbing time is 1.5 hours including safety instruction. You will find KlimKong near Holiday Park De Schatberg, at a recreational lake in green, open surroundings where you immediately get the outdoor feeling. Parking is extra nice here, as the car park next to the location is free for visitors. On the terrace, viewers can settle down with something to drink and a snack.
When are you welcome?
You are especially welcome here during the outdoor season from spring onwards, with current climbing days and times that may vary from period to period. The official site says it's best to check the opening page for the most up-to-date opening hours, and off-season KlimKong is also open by reservation for groups. At least for 2026, it is confirmed that the park will be open again from March.

Our tip for your visit
Book a climbing time early in the day and linger at the recreational lake or on the terrace afterwards. That way, your visit won't feel like a quick climb, but really like a complete outdoor afternoon that the kids will talk about for a long time.
