On a chilly day, this is one of those places where you get lost inside among colour, textiles, ceramics and paintings. In spring and summer, the rural location in Rijkel is extra nice: first look around the gallery, then stroll along the greenery and the Meuse.
What to expect.
You enter a gallery and workshop where everything is art. Risja creates paintings, ceramics, furniture, clothes and small objects, often inspired by Limburg's nature. Did you know that she was accepted as a self-taught artist at the Royal College of Art in London? You can feel that: free, individual and full of colour.
For a leisurely gallery visit, count on about 45 minutes to an hour. If you attend a workshop, you will usually spend 2 to 3 hours, depending on what you book. The gallery is located rural in Rijkel near Beesel, with greenery around you and a peaceful atmosphere. Parking is available at the venue. Dogs and accessibility are not clearly stated, so check in advance directly with Risja. When are you welcome?
The gallery is open for visits on Friday and Saturday from 12pm to 5pm. Workshops are available on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. On other days, you can visit by appointment only.
