What to expect.
At Stadscamping De Weerd, you can stay with a tent, caravan or motorhome. There are various types of camping pitches. If you’d like a bit of extra comfort, you can opt for a spacious comfort pitch with electricity. There are also pitches without electricity and pitches with private toilet and shower facilities.
The camping pitches with private sanitary facilities measure approximately 90 to 125 m². Each pitch has its own unit with a shower, toilet and washbasin.
The campsite also features a toilet block, free Wi-Fi, a water filling point, a washing-up area, picnic areas and a playground. For tent campers, there are also basic pitches without electricity.
The campsite is situated in Velden, between Venlo and Arcen, right by the River Meuse. This makes it an ideal base if you want to see as much of North Limburg as possible during your stay.

Our tip for your visit
After breakfast, hop on your bike and follow the River Meuse towards Venlo. After about a quarter of an hour, you’ll be right in the heart of the city. Have a stroll around, pop into a museum or grab a coffee somewhere, and then head back out into the countryside.
Got a bit more time? Then cycle north towards Arcen and Lottum. Along the way, you’ll find exactly that lovely mix of river, greenery and small villages that North Limburg is so famous for.

De Maasduinen National Park is within easy reach from Velden. There, you can walk and cycle through woods, heathland and shifting sand dunes.
Arcen is also nearby. There, you can combine a day’s cycling with a visit to the Castle Gardens. Prefer to head into town? Then Venlo is, of course, the obvious choice. It is precisely this variety that makes De Weerd an interesting base: out into nature today, a quick trip into town tomorrow.
