Parc de Witte Vennen is one such place where water, space and holiday spirit immediately come together. You sleep here among the greenery, walk straight to the beach and on the way pick up a play area, terrace or pedal boat.
Who is this a real getaway for?
This is a great address for families who like to be outdoors, for grandparents out and about with grandchildren and for campers who are happy with lots of space around them. Even if you come just outside the busiest holiday periods, you will be in the right place. Then the park feels extra quiet, while you have all the good things around you: water, greenery and plenty of fun things to do. For people over 55, the park is also emphatically in the picture, with a separate senior camping page and a lot of attention to comfort.
When will you visit?
As soon as the beach pool reopens from 1 May, it immediately starts itching here. On warm spring and summer days, this is one of those places where you almost automatically grab flip-flops from the car. But even outside the school holidays, it is nice here, precisely because then you get more peace and quiet and can still enjoy walking, cycling or just sitting by the water.
What to expect.
Count on a park where space, water and convenience come together very nicely. You will find very spacious camping pitches, luxury bungalows and a green, park-like site on a large pond with a separate recreational lake. At the park itself, you can play tennis, midget golf, pedal boats, sup, canoe, playgrounds and an animal pasture, among other things. Did you know that Parc de Witte Vennen was again awarded 4 stars by the ANWB in 2026?
For a stay here, a long weekend, midweek or full summer holiday all fit equally well. The atmosphere around the park is green and watery, with Venray nearby and both De Groote Peel and De Maasduinen nearby. Four of the five camping fields are car-free, which is especially nice with small children. So you don't park your car everywhere right next to your pitch. You can bring your dogs when booking, but it is good to know that dogs are not allowed near the beach and in the playground. For guests with mobility problems, there is good news: the campsite has disabled facilities in the sanitary blocks. You can go to the park for food, drinks and in holiday periods, as well as fresh rolls in the morning.
When are you welcome?
For tourist pitches, check-in is from 12.00 and check-out by 11.00. The beach pool is open from 1 May and usually operates times of 10am to 6pm during holiday periods and 10am to 5pm outside. The reception operates in the low season, from 30 September to 2 April, with fixed opening hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9am to 5pm, Tuesday from 9am to 1pm, Saturday from 10am to 2pm and closed on Sunday.

Our tip for your visit
Here, consciously choose a place where you build up your day quietly by the water. First a coffee, then a stroll around the park and only later towards the beach or pedal boat. Precisely because everything is so nicely spread out, a day here never feels rushed. That is precisely the charm of this place.

The most beautiful combo from Parc de Witte Vennen is National Park De Maasduinen. You already stay here among the greenery and water, and in De Maasduinen you simply extend that holiday feeling with dunes, heathland and long paths where you can enjoy hiking or cycling. That makes a stay here extra strong: first the park feeling, then nature.
