You can walk straight onto a country road or take your bike towards the Meuse or the Brachterwald. You won't encounter much on the way, except for a farm, a cyclist or someone with the dog. At the end of the day, you come back to a place where it is quiet and where you sit outside for a while before going inside.

Tip for your visit: bring your bicycle. From the B&B you can easily ride towards the Meuse or the forests near Swalmen, without having to go through busy roads first.
