Located opposite the Hertog Jan Brewery: Hertog Jan Proeverij
Right opposite the Hertog Jan Brewery is the Proeverij. The connection is even literal: through a beer pipe under the road, lager flows directly from the brewery to the tap. It doesn't get any fresher. After a tour of the opposite neighbours, slide in here for lunch, drinks or dinner. With no fewer than 125 special beers on the menu, there is always something new to discover. Burgundy enjoyment is central. The characterful building dating from 1928 has a rich history. It was built in the floodplains of the river Meuse, extra high because of previous floods. During the Second World War it was heavily damaged; the traces of this are still visible on the Meuse side.Reservations can be made up to 90 days in advance. Some seats remain available for spontaneous arrivals. Full online? Feel free to walk in, although a spot cannot be guaranteed.
