Toverland is ideal for families with young children, teenagers who rush straight to the rollercoasters, and adults who like to go for an extra ride themselves. The mix of gentle attractions, play areas and thrilling rollercoasters makes it easy to enjoy a day out together. If you’re mainly looking for peace and quiet and a leisurely pace, then a trip into nature is probably a better fit.
When will you visit?
On a sunny spring or summer’s day, the outdoor worlds and water attractions really come to life. Is the weather looking a bit iffy? Then Wunderwald and the Land van Toos offer more than twelve indoor attractions. In autumn and winter, the park takes on a different atmosphere during Halloween and Winter Feelings.
What to expect.
As soon as you walk through the gates, the choices begin. Will you head straight for the rollercoasters, the white-water rides or perhaps a quiet family attraction? Toverland boasts more than 40 attractions, spread across six themed worlds. In Avalon, you’ll soar through the air with Fēnix and sail past Merlin’s castle on Merlin’s Quest. In Ithaka, you can hear the wood of Troy creaking before the train picks up speed. If you’re visiting with young children, the indoor Land van Toos and the playful attractions in Wunderwald are lovely places to start off at a leisurely pace.
Between rides, there’s time to catch your breath. Find a terrace in Port Laguna, take a stroll through the green Magical Valley or catch a show. On hot days, Djengu River and the other water attractions provide a refreshing escape. If it’s raining, there are more than twelve indoor attractions waiting for you in the two indoor worlds.
Did you know that Troy, with a track length of 1,077 metres, a height of 35 metres and a top speed of 90 kilometres per hour, is the longest, highest and fastest wooden rollercoaster in the Benelux? For many visitors, one ride is simply not enough.

Thrilling attractions and peaceful moments are close at hand, so you don’t have to rush from one end to the other all day long. Its location in the green surroundings of Sevenum also makes it easy to combine your visit with an overnight stay or a trip to another spot in North Limburg. The park is situated between Venlo and Eindhoven.
Practical information
Set aside a whole day for Toverland. Sevenum is nestled amongst greenery and farmland, so the journey to the park soon feels like a day out in itself. There is a spacious car park at Toverland. You’ll need a paid parking ticket to leave, and there are charging points for electric cars.
When are the gates open?
Opening times vary by day and season. During Summer Feelings, Toverland is usually open from 10.00 to 19.00 or 20.00. On Halloween Nights, the park stays open until 11.00 pm. Winter Feelings takes place on Wednesdays, at weekends and throughout the Christmas holidays. Check the calendar before you set off, as it also lists scheduled maintenance and attractions that are temporarily closed.

In the summer, Toverland is often open later, regularly until at least 8.00 pm, and during special events, the days can feel even more festive and seem to last a little longer. Visiting an amusement park with young children and teenagers can be quite a challenge, but at Toverland, everyone soon found a favourite ride. The little ones were able to play quietly, whilst the older children went on the rollercoasters several times. The mix of indoor and outdoor activities made for a relaxing day, even when there was a brief shower.
