Inside you taste the history, outside you look out over the rolling countryside.
In the middle of greenery stands this stately building with striking pastel-coloured roofs and walls. Not your average castle, but an extraordinary art nouveau building from 1904. The sight alone makes you curious. Over the years, the hunting lodge had various functions, including during and around World War II. The building therefore harbours countless stories. Even seals were once part of daily life here; they were the pets of client Jan Jacob Luden. Nowadays, Jachtslot Mookerheide is an atmospheric place for lunch or dinner. An ideal stopover during a walk or cycle ride across the heathland. Inside you can taste the history, outside you can enjoy the view over the rolling landscape.
