At B&B Op de Kleijne Hei in Well, you can spend the night surrounded by greenery, animals and rural tranquillity. You can choose from spacious rooms or a simpler garden cottage or gypsy caravan. The woods of De Maasduinen National Park are nearby.
Who is this a real getaway for?
This place is ideal for couples, families, walkers, cyclists and animal lovers. The farmyard is home to ponies, donkeys, goats, chickens, rabbits, pigs, dogs and cats, amongst others. Children will be in their element here. You can choose between the greater comfort of a B&B room and a simpler stay in a garden cottage or gypsy caravan. For the simpler accommodation options, the kitchen and bathroom facilities are sometimes located in the main house.
Between Nijmegen and Venlo, less than 5 kilometres from the German border, in North Limburg, lies the beautiful village of Well. Overlooking the River Maas, bordering the beautiful woodland of the De Maasduinen nature reserve and close to the Leukermeer and Reindersmeer lakes, lies our Bed & Breakfast ‘Op de Kleijne Hei’. Here you can relax and unwind in peaceful, rural surroundings with plenty of privacy, ample opportunities for cycling and walking, and lovely spots for a picnic.
There is also plenty of scope in the immediate vicinity for mountain biking, water-based leisure activities and special routes for horse riding and carriage driving. On this farm, you’ll find our cosy B&B rooms: a double room and a four-person room. Facilities include a fridge, microwave, TV with Netflix, free Wi-Fi, a luxury bathroom and a sauna. In addition, our grounds feature a cosy gypsy wagon and a charming garden cottage. Enjoy a wonderful night’s sleep amongst the animals!
When will you visit?
In spring and summer, you can relax outdoors in the spacious garden. On a sunny morning, breakfast can even be served outside. In autumn and winter, the sauna is a lovely treat after a walk.
Accommodation is available by booking only. Please check availability in advance, especially if you wish to book a specific type of accommodation such as the gypsy caravan.
What to expect.
Depending on the type, the rooms feature a kitchenette, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, a television and Wi-Fi. Guests can make use of a sauna. There are also packages including a hot tub.
Breakfast is not automatically included with every booking. You can book a full breakfast as an extra. If you have any dietary requirements, please discuss these with the accommodation provider in advance.
When are you welcome?
Check-in is from 3.00 pm to 11.00 pm and check-out is from 7.00 am to 11.00 am.

Book breakfast as well and, if the weather’s fine, ask if you can eat outside. With a view of the garden and the animals, you’ll start your day here much more peacefully than at home.
Region tip: The icon in the neighbourhood
Set off from Well into the Maasduinen National Park. There, you can walk through woods, heathland, drifting sand and past ponds. There are various marked routes, ranging from a short loop to a longer walk.
