Scheepers at its sharpest

saturday 12 june 2027

Why can one person eat a Madame Jeanette chilli while another finds even ketchup already hot? Is it habituation or hypersensitivity? Spicy is a pain trigger for your taste buds. It is a fact that the number of taste buds decreases drastically as you get older. That is why it is important to train them and keep them sharp. Cabaret artist Rob Scheepers does this in his new programme 'Scheepers op z'n scherpst' - he stimulates your humour, puts you on edge and challenges you to explore the limits of your taste. Decide for yourself whether you find it really spicy, or if your neglected taste buds are just reacting a bit hypersensitively.

Rob Scheepers has now become a well-known face in the cabaret world, with five full-length programmes to his name and no fewer than seven New Year's Day conferences. In 'Scheepers op z'n scherpst', he once again manages to surprise the audience with sharp humour and a fresh and sometimes pithy view on daily life. Outside theatre, Rob is also active as a columnist for Radio 538 (with 'De Week in Oneliners') and the Brabants Dagblad.
