In GELUKKIG MAAR, Myrte Siebinga plays a colourful palette of characters who, at first glance, seem to have nothing in common, but nevertheless all run into the same thing: a life they had imagined very differently.

From a perfectionist toddler to a dog trainer with too little superiority, from a teacher herself yearning for the attachment of a glitter 3D sticker to a philosophising bouncer. With razor-sharp precision, she dissects our ridiculous expectations and the inevitable disappointments that follow. You laugh your head off, but secretly you know it too: this is also about me. About failed relationships, failed career moves and that uneasy feeling that everyone else understands life better than you do. Myrte's view of human beings with all their discomforts is as broad as her talent, making for a delightful evening of "sublime theatre" (quote NRC).
