Looking for a fun walk with the children? The Fladderpad at Camping Beringerzand is a short, nature-educational route where discovery through play takes centre stage.
Along the way, children learn more about plants, animals and the landscape. Thanks to the activities and resources provided, an ordinary walk quickly turns into a little journey of discovery.
Before you set off, you can buy a workbook and borrow a ‘Fladder’ bag from the reception at Camping Beringerzand. The bag contains, amongst other things, a pair of binoculars, a magnifying glass, coloured pencils, a catch net and a compass. With these, children can set off on their own to explore and complete various tasks along the way. This ensures the walk remains both fun and educational.
The route runs through woodland and past farmland in the vicinity of the campsite. Along the Fladderpad, there are information boards that tell you more about the nature you’ll encounter along the way. The trail was developed in collaboration with IVN, ensuring that the activities and information tie in well with what can be seen outdoors.
When children complete all the tasks in the activity booklet, the walk takes about two hours. At the end, they receive a ‘Fladder’ certificate as a memento of their adventure.
The Fladderpad is open for walking all year round. The activity booklet and the Fladder bag are available at the reception of Camping Beringerzand. Check the campsite’s website for current prices, opening hours and availability.
