After his acclaimed shows about Marlene Dietrich and David Bowie, Sven Ratzke is back with a brand new solo show! In 'KOPFKINO', this race entertainer takes you on a musical and theatrical journey through more than 130 years of cinema. Ratzke lets you wander through the sparkling dream world of film; from the first flickering images in a small viewing box to the grandeur of Hollywood and the poetry of cinema masters like Fellini, Fassbinder, Hitchcock and Lynch. Familiar film songs resound in surprising, new arrangements and between the music Ratzke lets divas and dreamers come to life in, often personal , stories and memories. Sometimes witty, sometimes melancholic. You might just find Greta Garbo or Miss Piggy suddenly standing in front of you. In 'KOPFKINO', the stage turns into a living movie screen and you are taken to a universe where anything is possible!

About Sven Ratzke Ratzke has in recent seasons provided sold-out venues from Amsterdam to New York with his tributes to legends such as Marlene Dietrich and David Bowie. Last season, he successfully toured with Matangi with 'Dans op de Vulkaan', a performance about the 1920s in Berlin in which he explicitly spoke out against the suppression of minorities.

Ratzke's love for film is great and this inspiration is visible in all his shows. His shows are characterised by a fascinating mix of theatre and cabaret, always with compelling music as a common thread, which he moulds entirely to his own will. An evening with Sven Ratzke is always different, surprising, musical, often hilarious and always completely authentic.
