Anna Mikhailova

Sunday 13 December

Talented concert pianist Anna Mikhailova, trained from the age of five in Moscow and graduated from the Maastricht Conservatory of Music, presents a rich and versatile programme in 'From Romanticism to Impressionism'. The first half features the lyrical and expressive works of Chopin and Rachmaninov, followed by the colourful, refined sound world of Debussy and Ravel. These composers, themselves virtuoso pianists, wrote music that demands both technical mastery and great sensitivity. Mikhailova effortlessly manages to unite these elements in her playing, in which nuance and expression are central. Thus, over half a century of musical history comes to life in a compelling way.

DOMANI: PODIUM FOR MORNING In the heart of Venlo, in the centuries-old Ursula Chapel from 1416, the music of tomorrow is given a stage. While stained-glass windows and centuries-old ceiling paintings breathe history, today's artists connect past and future with their music.

This season, too, we present a diverse cultural programme. From classical concerts to worldly sounds, singer-songwriters to jazz. The unique acoustics and atmospheric setting bring music up close and provide a special encounter between artist and audience.

At Domani, there is always something to discover. Of course, you are welcome to hear the artists you already know and love. Above all, be surprised by a concert you don't know yet. Our programming is compiled with care and guarantees quality.

Domani Zingt will be followed up this season and is scheduled more often. Singing together, connecting and experiencing the power of music proves to be a special experience every time.

Welcome to Domani, stage for tomorrow!
