When will you visit?

From September to June, there is a film night on Thursdays roughly every two weeks in the theatre at ’t Gasthoês. Occasionally, a Sunday afternoon film screening is also scheduled. The 2026/2027 film season runs from Thursday 10 September 2026 to Thursday 10 June 2027. Most film evenings start at 8.00 pm, and film afternoons at 2.00 pm.

At FilmTheater Horst, it’s not about the biggest red carpet, but about films that move you. You take your seat in the auditorium of ’t Gasthoês, right in the heart of Horst, and watch a carefully curated programme of films with a focus on content, atmosphere and variety. Think arthouse productions, dramas, documentaries, music films and stories that stay with you long after the credits have rolled.

Film titles are not shared publicly on standard websites. That may sound a bit mysterious, but there’s a practical reason behind it: due to film rights, FilmTheater Horst is only permitted to share the titles with regular followers, newsletter subscribers and visitors to ’t Gasthoês. Practical information in running text

Allow around two to two-and-a-half hours for a film evening, depending on the film and whether you have a drink before or after. Horst is a friendly and compact town, so you’ll be at a terrace, restaurant or car park in no time. There is plenty of free parking around ’t Gasthoês. The nearest car park is to the left of the building, where there are also three disabled parking spaces. You can park your bikes in the bike racks at the front. Please do bear in mind the roadworks on Linnenstraat and Kranestraat in 2026, which, according to ’t Gasthoês, may affect parking on those streets from 23 February to 24 July 2026.

The film nights are part of FilmTheater Horst’s 2026/2027 programme. The CSV lists film nights from 10 September 2026 onwards, running continuously until 10 June 2027. Dogs are not permitted in the auditorium for this screening, unless they are certified assistance dogs and you have arranged this with the venue in advance. For accessibility, special seating or other practical enquiries, it is advisable to contact ’t Gasthoês in advance. For a drink or a light snack, please visit the bar and restaurant at ’t Gasthoês; if you have any dietary requirements or allergies, it is best to enquire in advance or on arrival to find out what is available.

When are the gates open?

’t Gasthoês is open Monday to Friday from 08.00 to 23.00 and on Saturdays and Sundays from 09.00 to 17.00, except during performances, events and on public holidays. The hospitality sector follows the same flexible opening hours. For FilmTheater Horst, please check the specific screening times: most screenings start at 8.00 pm, with a few afternoon screenings at 2.00 pm.
