A prime minister, a journalist and a pacifist are on stage with one shared mission: peace. But can we still speak of peace if you have to fight for it? Orkater collective KONVOOI asks this question in a contemporary theatrical album: Peace for our time.
Peace for our time is a musical journey through the history of European peace. It centres on the questions of conscience of three figures who chose peace, but also got it wrong. Former British prime minister Neville Chamberlain, shaking hands with Hitler, uttering the famous words 'I believe it is peace for our time'. Émile Arnaud, one of the founding fathers of pacifism, volunteering to join the army in World War I. Andrii Kobaliya, a young journalist who trades in his pen for a kalashnikov after the Russians invade Ukraine.
After their successful performances The Master and Margarita and ILIAS, KONVOOI brings a performance as a theatrical concert with Peace for our time. In the spirit of Neville, Émile and Andrii, with their own set of battle songs - ranging from classical and jazz to poppy protest songs - they will stand for peace one more time by singing its praises.
Are you the owner of Peace for our time? And would you like to report a change? .
