On a bridge between two countries stands a man with nowhere to go. The country where he has built a life sends him away. The country where he was born won't let him. While everyone else lives on in a system of permeable borders and bendable rules, he is stuck in the no man's land in between.
With three actors and live music, Eva Custers directs a tragicomic performance about the border region. In a new adaptation by Amanda Payne based on Ödön von Horváth's nearly 100-year-old play, Hin und Her explores the absurdity of the closed border.
