Blue Finches

Poeha With their debut show, Blue Finches conquered Dutch theatres. The cabaret duo played a record number of shows and managed to attract an enthusiastic audience. Kevin van den Berg and Manon Blaauw dove into the deep end of the cabaret pond as fresh, uninhibited self-taught actors and are happily swimming on! In 2026-2027, Manon and Kevin will reprise their second theatre show, Poeha, in which they once again adopt a revue-like theatre style with a contemporary vision and form. Director Ruut Weissman describes their style as "a traditional theatre form in the spirit of our times". In 'Poeha', Blue Finches seizes the opportunity to become even more personal. Without hesitation, they put their finger on the sore spot for everyone and mercilessly ridicule everyday hoo-ha. In their signature style, they enlarge, mirror and twist recognisable situations. From forgotten toys to a proliferation of podcasts and from amusement parks to talk shows; anything goes and nothing is left untouched. Expect an evening full of colourful characters, hilarious skits, catchy songs and all sharply intertwined with current affairs. Blue Finches was a finalist at the Cameretten cabaret festival in 2021 and went home with the Audience Award of the Amsterdam Student Cabaret Festival the same year.
