Happen and Stappen in Baarlo

Put on your walking shoes and come and sample Baarlo. This route of about 10 kilometres starts at Central Baarlo, right in the green heart of the castle village. Along the way, you walk past works of art by Tajiri, through the historical centre and towards the banks of the river Meuse.
At four catering establishments, you'll slide in for something tasty. You start at Centraal Baarlo with coffee or tea and Limburg flan with Baolderse körse. This is followed by homemade soup. Further on, choose a lunch or main course with meat, fish or vegetarian. In winter, finish at Fletcher Hotel Château de Raay with a warm apple bun and whipped cream.
The route is also nice if you walk less frequently. The breaks mean you walk it at a pleasant pace. No rush, just enjoy.
Practical information
Happen & Stappen Baarlo costs €37.50 per person. That includes four dishes and a route description. Drinks are charged by yourself at the catering locations.
You can start daily between 11am and 6pm. Reservations are required and can be made up to 3 days in advance. Want to hike on Monday or Tuesday? If so, inform us by 4pm on the Friday before at the latest.
