When will you visit?

In spring and summer, this place comes to life especially beautifully, as you will naturally trek onto the site and linger outside for a long time. But De Pionier is also nice in autumn, precisely when you go out into the region during the day and then settle down together again in your own accommodation. Its location in Ysselsteyn makes it nice and central for excursions in the region.

What to expect.

You stay here on a spacious holiday farm with several accommodation options, a playing field, play forest and indoor play area. Kids can climb, swing, play table tennis and go-karting here, while everyone else just sits around the table together. Did you know that The Pioneer can accommodate groups from small to large and has accommodation for around 6 to 50 people in total?

For a family weekend, friends' weekend or midweek, you'll be just right here. You stay in the outskirts of Ysselsteyn, with plenty of peace, space and village atmosphere around you. Parking is free and just at the location. According to the location listing, pets are allowed, although prior coordination is smart per accommodation. Also nice: De Pionier is listed as a wheelchair-accessible location and some accommodation has facilities for the disabled. When it comes to food and dietary requirements, it's easy here too, as you can cook for yourself, book with or without breakfast, and catering is also possible. The latter wishes are best discussed directly in advance.

The Pioneer operates by reservation. Booking calendars and availability for 2026 are already available on the site for several accommodations. As a result, exactly when you arrive or leave varies for each accommodation, but you can therefore request or commit your preferred date right away.
