Beech | 4+

Sjef the Mouse loses his home when his tree is cut down without mercy. Panicking, he flees and finds refuge under a log cabin in the forest. Here it is dry and there is even food in abundance. But Beech the Lumberjack, is not happy about this. This cabin belongs to her! That mouse has to go, at any cost. When Owl the owl also comes around the corner, chaos is complete. Beech, Sjef and Owl become increasingly entangled in their battle for the forest. But to whom does the forest really belong?

Beuk! is a family performance by Kim van Zeben Theaterproducties for everyone aged 4 and up. A physical rollercoaster in which the audience is dragged into a cartoon-like world, full of spectacular chases, fights and comical falls. High-level slapstick, lots of throwing and smashing and things are allowed to be broken. But above all, Beuk! is a moving story about true friendship between man and animal and their shared love of nature.

In September 2025, Beuk! toured China for a month and Kim and Rogier performed the show 20 times for Chinese audiences.

The press about Beuk! Volkskrant ★★★★ I "Rogier in 't Hout and Kim van Zeben chop, shoot, saw, fall, fight and sing superbly." Het Parool I "Delicious, madcap slapstick that stimulates the imagination. For both children and parents, there is plenty to laugh at without it becoming superficial." Musicalworld ★★★★ I "An unadulterated party this performance for the whole family where everything is pulled out of the closet." Scenes I ''For years, Van Zeben has been a great actress who can actually do anything and is always funny and good."
