On Sunday 23 August 2026, Baarlo will be transformed into one huge open-air theatre. During the fifteenth edition of ‘Theatre on the Street’, you’ll see six international theatre acts at unique venues in and around the town centre. The performances will run continuously from 12.00 to 17.30.
You won’t need to step inside a theatre this afternoon. Instead, the performers will be taking to the streets, squares and green spaces of Baarlo. Stroll from one performance venue to the next and let yourself be surprised by open-air theatre along the way.
The historic village centre and the green surroundings provide the backdrop. This means you not only enjoy the performances, but can also take in the scenery as you make your way around.
Six international acts will be performing during the festival. Expect a varied afternoon with artists who each bring their own story and performance style. The short performances will be staged across various venues.
