Silke Veld in Concert with guest performance by De Bevers

On Sunday 21 June 2026, Maaspoort Venlo will be all about meeting, music and inclusion during the festive conclusion of the National Sunflower Week and the Accessibility Experience Greater Venlo 2026.

Chief guest of this special afternoon is Silke Veld, the promising Dutch pop singer, songwriter and storyteller who has managed to touch an ever-growing audience in recent years. With music reminiscent of MEAU and BLØF, she takes her visitors along recognisable stories about life, love, doubt, hope and special encounters. With her characteristic dry humour, disarming anecdotes and the occasional surprisingly deep life question, Silke knows how to move, make people laugh and connect.

As if that were not enough, the programme will be enriched with a festive guest performance by De Bevers. As proud ambassadors of the National Association de Zonnebloem, John and Kees de Bever are happy to dedicate themselves to this special occasion. With their infectious energy and well-known hits such as Jij krijgt die lach niet van mijn gezicht, Reisje langs de Rijn and Vrienden voor het leven, their performance promises to be a festive experience for young and old.

Afterwards, the presentation of the accessibility prize Groot Venlo 2026 will take place. With this prize, individuals, companies, organisations, associations and cultural institutions are put in the spotlight that have made a special effort to make Groot Venlo more accessible, inclusive and hospitable.

Earlier in the day, the Accessibility Experience Groot Venlo 2026 will take place in Venlo city centre. Between 11:00 and 14:30, visitors can experience music, demonstrations, information stands and interactive activities around accessibility, inclusion and community engagement at various locations.

This special day shows that a society becomes stronger when everyone can participate. Maaspoort provides the atmospheric backdrop for an inspiring and festive closing in which meeting, connection and music take centre stage.
