Summer markets in Arcen

Fancy a summer’s afternoon full of market stalls, music and a convivial atmosphere? During the Sfeermarkten, the centre of Arcen is transformed into a lively market for six Wednesdays. Stroll through the streets at your leisure, sample some tasty treats and take a break on a terrace.
Strolling past the market stalls
A long line of more than 150 market stalls winds its way through the centre of Arcen. You’ll find fresh produce, local delicacies, bric-a-brac, clothing and fun trinkets, amongst other things. So there’s plenty to see. Take your time and let the enthusiastic stallholders surprise you as you wander along.
Different entertainment every Wednesday
As you wander around the market, you’ll come across live entertainment at five different atmospheric spots. Think live music, street theatre and travelling performers. The programme changes every week, so there’s always something different to see and hear.
There’s plenty for children to do too. At the Kinderplein in front of the church, they can take part in various attractions and activities. This makes an afternoon at the market a fun outing for the whole family.
Take a break in Arcen
After all that exploring, a drink and a bite to eat taste even better. Around Raadhuisplein and in the surrounding streets, you’ll find various outdoor cafés and eateries. Pick a nice spot, watch the world go by and soak up the summer atmosphere for a little while longer.

Admission: free
During the Sfeermarkt, the centre of Arcen is closed to traffic. Upon arrival, traffic marshals will direct you to the car parks at Kasteeltuinen Arcen. From there, it’s just a few minutes’ walk to the centre.
