Not long after the global success of *Despicable Me 4*, the funniest comedy of summer 2024, Illumination is expanding its cheerful animated universe with *Minions & Monsters*, a new chapter in the biggest animated franchise ever.
During their journey through 1920s Hollywood, the Minions try to find the perfect monsters for their own film, but when they accidentally set real monsters loose, they have to pull out all the stops to save the world.
*Minions & Monsters* is directed by Academy Award® nominee Pierre Coffin, one of the directors of the first three *Despicable Me* films and the first *Minions* film. Coffin has also been providing the voices for the Minions since their film debut in 2010. The screenplay was written by Brian Lynch (Minions, The Secret Life of Pets films) and Pierre Coffin, and the film is produced by Chris Meledandri, the Academy Award®-nominated founder and CEO of Illumination, and by Bill Ryan (executive producer of The Super Mario Bros. Movie).
The executive producer is Brian Lynch. More than ten years after their creation, the Minions have become the most iconic animated characters of their generation. They are known worldwide, popular with fans of all ages, and have helped the ‘Despicable Me’ and ‘Minions’ films gross more than 5.6 billion in ticket sales globally.
