This queen of colouratura fights with her voice and her sword against the stifling social norms and classes of her time. And conquers the hearts of many a man and woman. This queer icon avant la lettre claims her place in history today.

ABOUT THE MAKERS Collective Aqueerius, consisting of Charlotte Dommershausen, Seppe Salome and Jip Warmerdam, makes innovative queer electropop musicals, balancing on campy waves between art and kitsch. Inspired by contemporary pop culture, science and an inexplicable fascination with history, they blend these elements into vibrant, new narrative forms and universes, breaking the (gender) norms of traditional theatre.
