A Sad and Beautiful World

Against the backdrop of a turbulent Lebanon, Nino and Yasmina have shared a deep but strained love for three decades. Whilst the country teeters between hope and devastation, Nino clings to the past and Yasmina seeks a way out towards a new future.
War, distance and personal turning points put their relationship and future plans to the test, including the question of whether they want a child. Torn between love and survival, they must decide: stay or leave everything behind. In the midst of this uncertainty, humour, resilience and love prove to be their only anchor.
