Medieval weekend at Museum Village De Locht

until 12 July

Take a step back in time during the Medieval Weekend at Museum Village De Locht in Melderslo. On Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 July, the museum grounds will be transformed into a lively medieval village full of crafts, stories and activities.

Discover it here

You’ll see blacksmiths at work, discover how flax and wool were processed, and encounter colourful characters along the way. Think of a quack doctor, a pedlar and a jester. There are also musical stories, storytelling sessions and camps run by Rin ende Maes and Levende Geschiedenis Limburg.

There’s plenty for children to do. They can customise their own little purse, earn florins through activities such as archery, chopping wood and writing with a quill pen, and then spend them. In the beggars’ alley, though, they’ll need to keep a close eye out…

A lovely day out for families, grandparents with their grandchildren and anyone who prefers to experience history rather than just look at it.
